These shrimp are farm raised and are delivered fresh frozen from Galveston, Texas.  There are between 16 and 20 shrimp in each one pound package.  The shrimp are uncooked and deveined with the shell removed and the tail intact.  Shrimp is a very versatile ingredient.  It can be cooked in a variety of ways and used in a variety of dishes.  Shrimp pairs well with flavors from all cuisines.
